Product highlights and buying context
Designed for 80 Gb/s Thunderbolt 5 devices that are used in demanding workflows, the DT580 80 Gb/s M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure from Ulanzi is equipped with one M.2 2280 SSD slot that supports M-Key / B & M Key SSDs with read speeds of up to 7043 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6384 MB/s. A PWM turbo fan, aluminum alloy construction, and a thermal pad help keep operations cool, while a magnetic ring lets this enclosure snap onto your compatible device for a more organized workspace. Also featured are integrated protections against short circuits, over currents, overvoltage, and thermals, backward compatibility with Thunderbolt 4 and USB4, plus compatibility with Windows and Mac systems.
Supports SSDs up to 8TB so you can create without worrying about storage. Theoretically, 8TB can store 160 AAA games at 50GB each, 5400 4K videos at 1.5GB each, 2.78 million high-res photos at 3MB each, or 8.38 million documents at 1MB each.
Transfer 6GB files in one second, saving time and loading files instantly to boost your productivity.
Powered by Intel's JHL9480 chip, it ensures professional-grade performance, providing fast and reliable data transfer.
Advanced multi-layer cooling system keeps it cool inside and out, reducing power consumption while preventing overheating. A PWM turbo fan provides two-level smart temperature control (2800 rpm at 104°F or 5600 rpm at 122°F). A silicone thermal pad helps with faster heat dissipation, while a CNC aluminum alloy housing helps with instant heat transfers.
Compact and magnetic, it snaps onto your device, giving you a more organized workspace via an included magnetic adapter ring.
Smart circuit protection ensures stable data transfers. More reliable, more confidence. Protections include short circuit, over-current, over-voltage, and thermals.
