The SA6400 12-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology is 2 RU rackmount server engineered for scalability and performance. Its high sustained throughput, ability to scale up to 108 drive bays, and comprehensive data protection solutions make it suitable for large storage deployments that require fast data transfer speeds and dependable service uptime. This unit has 12 drive bays, each of which natively supports 3.5" SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. Should users need to expand the overall capacity of their SA6400, up to eight RX1223RP expansion units offer an additional 12 drive bays each. This NAS can deliver sequential reads of up to 6500 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 4000 MB/s.

The SA6400 is powered by a 2.9 GHz AMD EPYC 7272 12-Core processor, which will allow you to run multiple functions simultaneously. The built-in 32GB of DDR4 ECC RAM will allow quick access to frequently used files and programs and may also be upgraded to a total of 1TB.
