Sky-Watcher Heritage 150 150mm f/5 Tabletop Reflector AZ Telescope

The Sky-Watcher USA Heritage 150mm f/5 Tabletop Reflector AZ Telescope has an ideal combination of power and portability for general all-around astronomy.

The telescope is built using a truss tube system that allows the optical tube assembly (OTA) to be closed to about half its length during transport and storage, with the ability to be opened quickly and easily without having to collimate the mirrors so you can get to observing the night sky quickly.

Optically, the Heritage is outfitted with a large 150mm aperture and aluminum-coated parabolic mirrors that draw in the light required to make detailed observations of the moon and planets, or to reach outside our solar system to see deep-sky objects. The optical tube is supported by a manual alt-azimuth tabletop mounting system that allows you to set up the scope just about anywhere—from a patio or picnic table to a tailgate or car hood.

When you need to pack up and go home, simply collapse the tube, rotate it down to minimize its form factor, and grab the mount's integrated handle to carry it safely and securely. To get you observing right out of the box, Sky-Watcher includes two eyepieces and a red dot finder.

Optical Tube Assembly

• Large 6" (150mm) aperture allows users to observe the moon and planets or reach outside the solar system and view deep-sky objects like binary stars, clusters, galaxies, and nebulae
• Fast f/5 focal ratio keeps views bright and crisp
• 750mm focal length produces a moderate magnification potential without making it too large or heavy
• Aluminum-coated paraboloidal mirrors produce sharp and detailed images with 94% reflectivity
• Collapsible Dobsonian design utilizes truss tubes to extend the optical tube to full length and close into a compact form factor, making it powerful but portable—measuring just 16.75" when trusses are retracted and extending to 48" when set up
• Truss tube design maintains optical alignment and will not require collimation between uses
• Borosilicate parabolic primary mirror with highly-reflective aluminum coatings that bring the reflectivity to 94%
• Resolution: 0.77 arcsec (Dawes Limit), 0.93 arcsec (Rayleigh Limit)
• 48mm secondary diameter mirror; Obstruction: 32% by diameter, 10% by area
• 1.25" helical focuser maintains the eyepiece's optical alignment for clearer optical views and images during astrophotography

Mount

• Manual alt-azimuth design
• Tabletop design can be set up just about anywhere
• Rubber feet provide a sure footing and their natural vibration-dampening presents clearer views even when people are walking near or cars are driving by
• Mount arm is tall enough to allow the optical tube to be pointed straight down for a smaller form factor during transport and storage
• Integrated carrying handle
• 28" eyepiece height when aimed directly overhead at the zenith

Eyepiece & Accessories

Eyepieces: * 1.25" diameter barrel * 25mm yields 30x power * 10mm yields 75x power

Finder: * Unmagnified view presents a near infinite field of view that makes alignment and star-hopping navigation fast and easy * Finder projects a simple red dot into the field of view, allowing users to simply place the dot on their object of interest * Battery and bracket included
