It connects to your Windows, Mac, or Linux host system using a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 cable, which provides data transfer rates up to 10 Gb/s. Each of the five bays accommodates a 3.5" SATA HDD or a 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD, and the removable drive trays sport keylocks to prevent accidental removal. When internal temperatures reach 95°F,the Fortis 5C exhausts air away from the internal drives automatically with its 3000 rpm intelligent cooling fan, which is configurable for 24/7 operation while producing only 30.4 dBA of noise, ensuring stability and quiet performance. This enclosure is configured for JBOD and is software RAID compatible.
