BeesNeez BN251 Large-Diaphragm Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone

The BN251 Large-Diaphragm Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone from BeesNeezis a part-for-part mechanical twin of the original Telefunken (AKG-manufactured) ELA M 251—beloved by recording engineers since the 1950s for smooth, rounded, and airy tones across the instrumental spectrum.

A perfect mechanical and acoustic match to the original AKG CK12 capsule, the Beesneez CK12 large-diaphragm capsule retains the complex multi-chambered design that gives the classic CK12 its revered sonic signature. Its precision machining and diaphragm alignment are achieved using a combination of CNC machining and lapping, creating fascinating detail and accuracy. The custom wound, glass amorphous toroidal transformer ensures accurate impedance conversion, musical tonal linearity, and wide-frequency response. Engineers can select from omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8 patterns, making this a versatile choice and long-term workhorse microphone for any professional studio's mic cabinet.
